Today we're going to look at what can be done in a longer time frame. 18 weeks is not a long time by any means, especially for a lofty goal. I have goals that I won't reach for another 18 months, these are long term goals, 18 weeks is still relatively short term, only about one third of the year.
Vanessa started training with us just over 18 weeks ago. Her goals were to lose fat, tone up, get fitter and stronger. So we got her started on the Optimum Nutrition Diet and trained together once a week, she also came to our Kettlebell Class and did lots of walking in between. Walking is a great way to burn fat without losing muscle, it's also good for the mind and I'm certain that the more you walk the longer you will live.
Remember the 3 keys to Rachel's success? They were hard work, determination and adherence. Vanessa had them all, the only difference; she swore a lot more!
Here is what she achieved in 18 weeks:
Dropped 8% body fat
Knocked 7 points off her BMI (taking her into the ideal range)
Wow! But here come the really impressive results:
Went from pressing 8kg in the first session to being able to press a 16kg, pretty damn easily!
300 Swings with 16kg
200 Snatches with 10kg in 10 minutes
The weight loss results were incredible, but it is the performance goals that have impressed me the most, she's a machine! and looks great for it!!
